DEAD SEA SATURDAY

On Saturday we decided to take the kids to the Dead Sea.  When Alex and I visited Israel in 2008 our trip to Mineral Beach was one of the highlights of our trip.  Unfortunately, Mineral Beach has been closed for the past year so we took the kids to Neve Midbar.  We all had a fabulous time slathering mud all over each other.  The mud makes your skin tingle and leaves it feeling so smooth.

The Dead Sea is the lowest point on earth, at 429 metres below sea level.  It is 9.6 times more salty than the ocean so it's impossible to sink.  The kids loved just floating with their hands behind their necks.  It really is a delightful feeling.
